Parish Leaders

Vestry
The Vestry is the governing board of our parish, consisting of the Rector, the Wardens, and lay members.  Most lay members of the Vestry, except for the Senior Warden, are elected by parishioners at the Parish Annual Meeting each September.  The Senior Warden and Junior Warden each serve for one year, with the expectation that the Junior Warden will rise to Senior Warden in the following year. A Secretary and Treasurer are appointed by the Rector. The vestry is responsible for financial and property matters of the parish.

Envelope Please

Open lines of communication, transparency, active listening, feeling heard, healthy debate, honoring different viewpoints, reaching consensus - it's all about living in community and working things out, whether the topic be the nature of the Anglican Communion, Eucharistic theology, the paint color for church walls, or a faithful use of economic power in the world. It is particularly important that there be good communication between the leaders of a faith community and its members. Every first Sunday at 10:00, the wardens and I have an open forum in the Willard Room and all of you are invited. We are calling the meetings "Envelope Please" because your questions will be placed in envelopes and given to us to answer to the best of our ability. The questions can be about anything. If we don't have an answer, we will find an answer. We hope that these meetings will lead to interesting and helpful discussions about all sorts of topics. Other leaders of the church will also be involved. Again, the point is for us to keep talking, about everything. Come join us!
