20s/30s Fellowship

The 20s / 30s Fellowship at Epiphany was formed in the Fall of 2002 to allow an opportunity for parishioners to gather together for spiritual, service and social events. Consisting of folks in their twenties and thirties, we meet regularly for monthly happy hours and Sunday brunch. We also get together for other events such as hiking, volunteering at local service agencies, and sporting events. We seek to build a fellowship and mutual support among younger parishioners through fun and fulfilling activities in addition to our worship and learning at Epiphany.

Although we have a number of "regulars," many of our group attends events intermittently, reflective of the reality of busy schedules and busy lives. Join us when you have the time, or when an event looks appealing to you. Bring a friend, spouse, partner, whatever. Ours is an open and ! inclusive group.

Join our e-mail list by sending a message to Epiphany_DC_ya-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. It doesn't matter what you put in the subject line or body of the message.

New Leadership for the 20s/30s Fellowship
Beginning in September (2005), the 20s/30s group will have new leadership. Parishioners Scott Jones and Tanya Washington have agreed to take over coordination responsibilities for the group.

Tanya (tanyawash@yahoo.com) has been attending Epiphany since fall of 2004 and joined earlier this year. She is a Washington, DC native who returned to DC last summer after four years in Philadelphia. During her stint in Philadelphia, she graduated from graduate school (University of Pennsylvania), was confirmed (Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral) and got a new job—all within one week.

Scott (scottjijones@juno.com) recently moved to the area, and is a fairly new member of Epiphany. This fall he will begin a master’s program in rehabilitation counseling at the University of Maryland. One of Scott’s first activities at Epiphany was last year’s parish weekend at Shrine Mont Conference Center in Virginia. Currently, Scott serves as a Eucharistic minister, and has been active in the 20s/30s program.
